Senior System Administrator

As a Senior System Administrator at Melexis, you will take ownership of the configuration, implementation, automation and maintenance of the various technologies and products managed by the IT Department.

More specifically, you will

▪ have the end responsibility for your own key products (being either complex in nature or having high impact in the organization)

▪ implementation of new products

▪ working on requests for the product

▪ regular releases to keep the product up to date

▪ training to employees to allow them to achieve the right level of use of applications ▪ work on change management processes to prepare changes to allow flawless implementation to production during the maintenance windows.

▪ take ownership of projects to deliver business value and write/maintain all relevant project documentation ▪ analyze recurring issues and correctly define the underlying problems in order to resolve them timely to ensure business system continuity

Profile

▪ an engineering master degree in IT/Computer Sciences or equivalent by experience

▪ more than 5 years of experience in System administration or as Software developer

▪ sound understanding of Linux

▪ hardware knowledge of LAN, WAN, server and workstation

▪ ability to work effectively in an international team with strong collaboration, communication and business relationship skills

▪ experience in running small and medium sized projects.

▪ effective communication skills in English
