For our offshore Customer Order Engineering unit, we are looking for a Safety component and service lift design specialist. As a design specialist, you will be working side by side with design engineers and the project management team to ensure delivering tower internals solutions for Siemens offshore wind projects worldwide.

What are my responsibilities?

As a design specialist, you will have the full responsibility and overview of safety component and service lift used in offshore towers. You will have a close collaboration with other design engineers, and you will have a broad contact surface to our Supply Chain Management, turbine site and assembly site as well as inside the Engineering department. We are working with Inventor, NX, SAP, Team Center and Ansys why knowledge of these programs will be an advantage. More specifically, your assignments will include:

• Responsibility of R&D projects

• Creation of 2D and 3D drawings and required specification

• Creation of product specifications

• Construction and calculation of Safety components according to valid norms and standards

• Test description as well as supervision and follow up on tests

• Project support including collaboration across departments

• Product optimizing

• Cost-out optimizing

• Development of new solutions for safety components

What do I need to qualify for this job?

You have a relevant education, e.g. Construction or Mechanical Engineer. Alternatively, you have experience with technical tasks within construction and development. You understand general company processes and are result and quality oriented. You are able to work and successfully communicate at different organizational levels in a multi-cultural environment. Moreover, you possess excellent English skills, both orally and in writing.
