Restaurant Møllehuset is looking for a waiter

At Restaurant Møllehuset in Frederikshavn we are looking for a waiter, who wants to be part of a team where the focus is on creating experiences that take the guests into a world of wonderful flavours from our local area.

We are looking for a waiter with experience in serving both a la carte, parties and larger events. Our most important task is to give our guests a fantastic experience from the moment they step inside our restaurant, therefore we expect you to have service in your DNA. We have many kinds of parties and events during the week, and therefore, we are looking for a waiter who thrives on making things run smoothly and always has overview of the situation.

We expect you to have an interest in food and drink, so that you can always present the menu and answer any questions that may arise. You do not need to have in-depth knowledge of wine and beverages, but we would like you to familiarize yourself with the basic things as needed. Of course, we always help you along the way and make sure you have access to the necessary knowledge. A sense of detail and a desire to speak with our guests is something we value highly in our new team member. Therefore, we expect you to be fluent in either English or Danish – both orally and in writing.

You will be part of a team of 10 people who work closely together every day to give our guests experiences that adds a splash of flavour to everyday life. The team consists of chefs, kitchen staff, waiters, cleaning assistants and office staff - and when we do not create experiences for our guests, we sometimes go on inspiration trips, go hiking or bowling or drink a beer together after work. You will become part of our little community, and we look forward to having you with us.

At Restaurant Møllehuset, we constantly try to work in closer symbiosis with nature, which means, among other things, that we work with the seasons and collect ingredients in the forest around us, which we use in our dishes. In addition, most of our products are homemade from produce grown locally in North Jutland. We produce our own jam, cold cuts, cheese and cordial and bake our own bread. You do not have to have an interest in or knowledge of harvesting from nature's pantry, but we expect that you will help us sell our products and tell our story to the guests when they visit us.

Møllehuset, or the Old Millhouse in English, is one of the oldest buildings in Frederikshavn. It is situated in the Bangsbo forest by a large stream, and as the names implies it was once part of a mill that serviced most of the area. Today, only the old, half-timbered house remains with a modern extension, but we still uphold old traditions and good craftsmanship while working with modern gastronomy.
