For our workshop in Venlo, we’re looking for an experienced full-time: Rail vehicle service engineer

What duties should you expect in your work?

• As a service engineer, your job is to resolve all types of faults independently.

• You must conduct all forms of preventative and corrective maintenance in compliance with the regulations.

• You must be able to resolve complex problems independently, both in the workshop and on site, including during weekend shifts.

• You conduct visual inspections and mechanical and electrical measurements according to the regulations.

• You will be responsible for the correct administration of your work: hours worked, parts used and activities performed.

• You must be able to devise creative solutions and take action to help customers further.

• You must participate in work meetings and propose improvements while ensuring that the safety of people and equipment is always paramount. What do we require of you?

• A technical MBO-4 diploma, for example. Mechatronics or electrical engineering.

• Relevant knowledge in the field of mechanical, electrical and preferably also electronic equipment. • A few years’ experience as a service or maintenance engineer.

• Experience with software tools.

• Experience in sharing knowledge.

• You can work easily with computer systems (Infor)

• You can also work accurately and think analytically, making you not only capable of remedying the symptoms but also discovering the cause of a fault.

• You can communicate easily with others and enjoy learning to increase your technical knowledge.

• You hold a class B driving licence.

What can we offer you?

• A varied job with a good salary and terms of employment according to the Metalworking Collective Agreement (CAO).

• A full-time position with an average of 38 hours per week.

• Pension accrual with 70% employer’s contribution.

• 25 days of holiday and 13 days with shorter working hours (with full-time employment).

• Working in a 2-shift system with a shiftwork bonus of 14% and on-call service with appropriate remuneration.

• Plenty of opportunities to take training courses (on the job, but sometimes also at our plant in Switzerland!).
