Are you looking for a role where you have the possibility to drive the quality, health and safety work of Unibio innovation center in Kalundborg? We are looking for a QEHS engineer to continue our focus on safety and quality.

Do you want to help develop the protein of the future, which will make it possible to feed the world's growing population without devastating the ecosystems? Unibio has developed a sustainable technology to produce protein. This technology is based on fermentation using methane as a raw material. With it, we can avoid overfishing the oceans and clearing the rainforest to grow soybeans. We have considerable interest from investors, who want to establish production in different countries around the world and expect to commence several projects later this year and next.

 

Your tasks

  • Keep overview and lead the safety work in collaboration with management.
  • Execute safety related projects in the process, e.g. Buying and implementing new equipment.
  • Control our near-miss database and ensure follow-up actions are executed within deadline.
  • Take charge of ad-hoc tasks related to safety.
  • Support QEHS specialist in HACCP system maintenance.
  • Be part of securing GMP+ feed certification.
  • Implement procedures and changes to adhere to HACCP and/or GMP+ principles.
  • Drive and develop quality management system at the innovation centre.
  • Be responsible for product quality from Innovation centre.

 

About the Position

Maybe you are an experienced QEHS supporter, maybe you are a process engineer with a strong quality and safety mindset. Most importantly you are dedicated towards quality and safety in industrial processes.

you will join a strong team of professionals and become an important part of Unibio’s journey of microbial protein production. You will be maneuvering in a highly dynamic organization, and you cannot solve your tasks without involving multiple stakeholders. 

On the Quality side: You will perform reporting, risk assessments, take part in audits and you will be central in anchoring a Quality mindset at the innovation centre organization. 

On the Safety side: You will ensure that operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner and in conformance with safety regulations. You will perform post-incident investigations and communicate with the management team until all action items have been closed. It is expected that you independently are able to implement technical solutions to near-miss incidents.

Your workplace will be in Kalundborg with the opportunity to work some days in our head quarter in Roskilde. In this position you can expect up to 40 travel days per year in relation to support new factories.

Requisitos laborales

Your background

  • An education within food/feed safety, process/chemical/biochemical engineering or similar.
  • Previous QEHS experience within industrial scale biotechnology, dairy industry or similar.
  • Be self-driven and with an ability to work independently.
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset.
  • Proven track record of the ability to handle the shifting agendas in a developing company.
  • Be able to execute and finalize tasks, in a high paced environment.
  • You can communicate fluently in written and verbal English and preferably Danish.
