Project Lead Engineer

– Vehicle Electrics/Electronics dpt Function description As Project Lead Engineer

– VEE you are responsible for the coordination of all VEE development and release activities for (part of) a dedicated project, carried out by VEE employees, hired resources or outsourced parties, in order to achieve the VEE project deliverables in time and budget.

You will create a dedicated development plan in coordination with the VEE supervisors, Line Lead Engineers and System owners, including necessary resources, timing, etc. You follow up the development progress, manage changes, plan and prepare technical decision process, report progress to VEE Engineering Manager and Project manager, address risks and escalate to Management when necessary.

As representative of VEE you will participate in project teams, engineering teams, release teams, and where necessary organize and lead these. Department Information Vehicle Electrics / Electronics dpt (55 FTE) develops and releases electrical and electronic systems for the DAF XF and CF series trucks, and also defines and maintains the E/E Architecture. VEE consists in 4 groups: E/E Architecture, Vehicle Systems, Platform development, Software Development.

Function demands

  • • Technical HBO / Academic Bachelor level (Mecha(tro)nical / Automotive / Electrical Engineering) with minimally 6 years relevant experience
  • • Thorough technical product knowledge
  • • Familiar with product development processes
  • • Teambuilder
  • • Stress-resistant
  • • Fluent in English
  • • Experienced in MS-Office and MS-Project
