Product Engineering Manager with focus on VAVE (Value analyzing value engineering) toProduct Center Boilers, Aalborg Alfa Laval Aalborg A/S. – the world’s leading supplier of marine boilers and growing in the industrial boiler market – is looking for a Product Engineering Manager to take the lead in building up a Product Engineering department In Product Center Boilers in Marine & Diesel Division (MDD).
Task and Responsibilities: As our new Product Engineer ing Manager you will be a member of the Management team in Product Center Boilers and you will report directly to VP of Product Center Boilers. Besides the product engineering team in Aalborg, you will be responsible for the engineering team (15 engineers) in Singapore. The Product Engineering Department will have their main product areas within boilers, burners, automation systems and heat exchangers.
Your main task will be :
•Build up the Product Engineering department
•General Management of the Product Engineering unit
•Implement Value Analysis Value Engineering disciplin and methodology in MDD
•Support non-standard sales and order execution
•Support product development
•Coordinate the engineering efforts globally in Marine& Diesel Division
Your experience and competences It is expected that the coming Product Engineering Manager has strong technical experience combined with a good commercial understanding. Knowledge about the marine business is an advantage, but not mandatory. Furthermore, an understanding of the issues affecting processes and risks involved in projects is essential. Implementing the value engineering methodology will be a key to the success of the Product Engineering Manager. Personally, the Product Engineering Manager must have strong impact, be goal oriented, result driven and execute a visionary and motivating personal leadership style.
