Description



Develop new system – Project assignment – Medical devices



Radiometer’s R&D department is looking for a specialist within optical measurements and design. You will have a unique opportunity to take part in the development of a new optical measuring system for Radiometer’s famous blood gas analyzers (ABLs).



You will be part of a very dedicated and experienced team in developing world class sensors and optical systems for our customers. The position requires you to be both analytical with a great deal of detail-orientation, as well as be an outgoing and coordinating personality with excellent drive for results.



The position is presently limited to 3 years.





The job



Your responsibilities and tasks will include:

•Analyze and define needs to the optical system

•Design prototype measuring systems (experimental setups)

•Build prototype measuring systems

•Analyze measuring data from prototypes

•Recommend and realize improvements to the measuring systems

•Support the team on optical measurement principles





Qualifications

•Master of Engineering, or ‘Cand. Scient.’ or similar, with strong optical background based in mechanical, electronically engineering or physics

•Broad optical understanding (e.g. UV-VIS absorbance measurements, fluorescent/phosphorescent measurements, waveguides)

•Documented skills within design of optical measuring systems

•Hands-on experience with prototype design and usage

•System modelling

•Used to working with IT tools relevant for the position: MS Office, optical design, modelling



Fluent English is a requirement, Danish an asset.



You must be passionate and committed about what you do, as well as:
