Medical System Engineer (m/f)

What you will be doing

• Consulting with customers, determining their needs and shape them into requirements.
• Designing of safety-critical systems and involvement in the risk management process.
• Overseeing the development and integration of complex software from multiple perspectives.
• Understanding, co-create and applying the development processes for regulated software.
• Becoming familiar with relevant standards (ISO 13485, ISO 14971, EN 62304) and putting them into practice.
• Providing link between customer needs and production deliverables.
• Creatively solving problems during complex projects using technical and people skills.
• Understanding the system as a whole to assist with proper design and development approaches of effective and safe systems.
• Understanding project stakeholders’ issues – from developers, project managers, customers to users.
• Being part of introducing new ideas and products to the market.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least B.Sc. in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or another related technical discipline.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Work experience covering the complete development lifecycle (definition, design, implementation, integration, verification).
• Previous experience in the medical industry or research field is considered a strong additional asset.
• Great technical and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with CRM (customer relations management).
• Experience with requirement elicitation: understanding customer’s and user’s needs and transforming those into technical requirements.
• Project management skills are a bonus.
