Manufacturing Technology Manager

Then you might be the Manufacturing Technology Manager we are looking for in our Refrigeration and Airconditioning Division. Your office is located in Nordborg, but 10-20 travelling days per year should be expected when visiting other Danfoss sites. Leading further development and innovation in production on two sites As our new Manufacturing Technology Manager, you will have a key function in leading a team of 15 experienced colleagues. Over time, you will gain management responsibility across two factories where you will lead a team of engineers working with manufacturing technology. The team is working on developing and improving the production machinery in our expansion valve production, and shortly, the maintenance team will also be included. It will be your responsibility to build a culture where improvement of production performance across country limits and different types of production is top of mind. You will be working with a global team in implementing and upgrading new equipment and processes. Collaboration with stakeholders from operation, quality, R&D, procurement and external suppliers will be paramount in keeping a reliable performance of machines, supporting the production of more than a million expansion valves per year. In addition, your tasks will include: •Development, scoping and execution of mostly locally based projects •Ensuring top-level quality to customers •Ensuring through focused leadership that continuous improvement on production performance, stability and efficiency is an integral part of the culture in the team •Making improvements in customer quality and reducing Cost of Poor Quality, both internally and externally •Supporting a higher innovation rate within technology Your success will be measured by the ability of you and your team to build momentum, think out of the box, and suggest and execute improvements that can be implemented not only on a few sites, but widely across the production globally. You are expected to bring energy and modern thinking, and you will need to use your network and pull on external partners in order to reach your goals and meet your deadlines. Strong technical background combined with leadership experience You have a relevant technical education, preferably a Master’s degree, and several years’ leadership experience in a similar industry. You have been working with improving and developing production equipment in the manufacturing business. It is paramount that you have the ability to lead and motivate others to higher performance. It is also important that you have the capability to close projects in a given time although you need to attend to many different tasks simultaneously.
