We are a startup founded by a mix of engineers and designers with a passion for developing products that have a direct impact on people’s lives. In 2014 we introduced Findster, the first GPS tracker without monthly fees. The project was successfully funded on Indiegogo, with more than 1200 backers from over 50 countries. Since then, we’ve come a long way - the latest version of our pet tracker, Findster Duo+, is currently being used daily in over 80 countries.

Besides being part of the European Space Agency (ESA) incubation program, since 2016 we’re also alumni of HAX - the world’s #1 Hardware Startup accelerator.

WE WANT SOMEONE

We want an iOS developer to be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablet computers.

Your primary focus will be development of an iOS application for pet tracking and its integration with back-end services.

You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of infrastructure and hardware. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of a quality product is essential.



 

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS

  • - Proficiency with Swift and CocoaPods;
  • - Experience with offline storage (e.g. Realm), threading, and performance tuning;
  • - Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services;
  • - Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines;
  • - Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications;
  • - Understanding of Object Oriented Design Principles, Software Patterns;
  • - Good understanding of algorithms and data structures.



 

NICE TO HAVE

  • - Published an app or previously contributed to an open source project;
  • - Proficient understanding of code versioning tool Git;
  • - Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards;
  • - Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred;
  • - Experience with unit testing and/or automated testing frameworks;
  • - Experience with Continuous Integration development process (Jenkins / Fastlane).
