For one of our clients (automotive sector) based in the United Kingdom, we are looking for an Interior Design Engineer with experience in designing seat components.

You will be responsible for the design of different (plastic, metallic) components for all types of seating.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creation of CAD models and drawings;
  • Applying problem solving methodologies;
  • Use of tolerance design tools;
  • Leading design reviews; 
  • Liaising with design studio and package engineering to ensure correct surfacing, package and theme;
  • Resolution of issues identified by team members in connection with the design and release of vehicle seating; 
  • Regular production of design verification plans and reports and performing failure model effect analysis in the course of resolving design issues.

The profile we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering related field;
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role; 
  • Design experience in seating system design;
  • Very good knowledge of CAD tools;
  • Proficient English.
