Healthcare Assistants – Residential Care
Brampton care is the first in the west of Ireland to open a solely dedicated Rehabilitation & Residential Care facility. We are CARF accredited looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join us on a full-time perm basis. The successful applicant must have a keen interest in Residential Care. Our residents need include mobility and age related care.
We are located just off the motorway in Oranmore and this makes us accessible to travel from a variety of locations.
At Brampton Care & Rehabilitation we pride ourselves on supporting our staff’s need which includes educational support, wellbeing support and flexibility. All our Healthcare Assistant work on a roster pattern ensuing you will be able to plan in advance.
Responsibilities
· Supporting the nursing staff and team in delivering quality person-centered care to meet the needs of residents.
· Help residents to achieve independence where possible
· Getting to know residents' interests and needs providing attention, support, and companionship
· Promoting the mobility of residents, supervising and assisting as necessary to ensure optimum mobility is maintained and improved where possible
· Enabling and assisting residents to maintain their personal appearance /hygiene needs, whilst always maintaining their dignity
· Enabling and assisting residents to eat/drink and achieve physical comfort.
Qualifications / Skills
· FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare
· Experience working in a healthcare environment
· Excellent communication skills
· Can work independently or as part of a team
· Ability to maintain a positive approach
· Fluent level of English both written and oral
