Data Mart Designer
Job Description
• Analyze and align BI requirements of your internal customers: The business units Air-freight and Sea-freight logistics. Write effort estimations and technical specifications and transfer them into efficient ETL solutions based on Oracle PL/SQL and ETL mappings of Informatica PowerCenter as our standard.
• Create core DWH target tables, view layers, data marts and SAP Business Object universes.
• Support ETL developers in taking care of the data flow - process input messages stored either as a positioned flat file or XML message, extract data, transform and store data in target tables.
• Work in a team with other ETL analysts and developers located in Tallinn and Hamburg.
• Follow internal standards regarding development, change management process and other internal processes.
• Regular optimization and continuous improvement of complex ETL processing working with high data volumes using your knowledge and experience.
• Responsible for the ultimate service offered to all Data Warehouse customers.
Requirements to Candidates
• Bachelor or Master in computer science or similar degree
• Experience and ability work with SAP Business Objects
• Experience in Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL programming
• Strong experience in logical and physical relational data modeling (OLTP) and dimensional data modeling (OLAP) including VLDB concepts and processing of high volume data
• Knowledge about positioned flat files and XML
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Team-oriented, reliable and self-contained
• High level of written and spoken English
• Willingness to take part in 24/7 on-call support
We Count as a Plus
• Experience and ability to work with at least one code repository, e.g. SVN
• Experience and ability to work with at least one ticketing systems, e.g. JIRA
• Experience and ability to work with at least one documenting systems, e.g. Confluence Wiki
• Ability to work with UNIX command line interface
