Topalis AG Organisation description: The Professional Services unit is part of the Topalis corporate group, and specialises exclusively in rendering services and advisory activities for large-scale enterprises and corporate groups. Professional Services operates as an independent advisory unit of the Topalis Group. Our activities focus on consultation and management work for complex e-business IT projects in heterogeneous infrastructures. Your tasks: Responsibility and coordination in operating diverse and, in part, extremely sensitive applications in the e-business sector (Unix, J2EE) Assessment of customer specifications Planning and accompanying change requests Main point of contact for operational issues Comprehensible presentation of complex technical facts Instruction and support for operators without having to work on the systems yourself

Your profile: Several years' experience of running Linux in an enterprise environment, e.g. Red Hat and SUSE Experience of working with script languages Experience in operating large-scale Linux environments (patch management, performance optimisation, automation, etc.) Experience in providing support for WebSphere and Unix Experience in advising clients about existing data centre services Experience in planning and designing Linux infrastructures You enjoy working with clients from heterogeneous specialist departments (inside and outside of IT) Readiness to travel nationwide is a requisite Ideally you hold an LPIC1 certificate Minimum B2 level German language skills
