The Cook is responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items in a hotel kitchen, ensuring that all dishes meet established quality, presentation, and hygiene standards. This role supports the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for hotel guests by maintaining consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail in all aspects of food production.

Working under the supervision of senior kitchen staff, the Cook assists in the daily preparation of meals for various hotel outlets, including restaurants, room service, and banquet functions. Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, cooking menu items according to standardized recipes, and ensuring that all food is served in a timely and professional manner. The Cook must be able to follow instructions accurately while also adapting to the dynamic demands of hotel operations.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen is a key aspect of the role. The Cook is responsible for adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients, and keeping workstations clean and sanitized at all times. Proper use and care of kitchen equipment is also required to support safe and efficient operations.

In addition, the Cook may assist with inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, minimizing waste, and supporting stock rotation practices. Collaboration with other kitchen and service staff is essential to ensure smooth communication and coordination, particularly during peak service periods and special events.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. A strong sense of teamwork, professionalism, and commitment to quality is essential. Previous experience in a hotel or professional kitchen is preferred, along with a basic understanding of culinary techniques and food safety standards. A willingness to learn and develop skills within a structured kitchen environment is also highly valued.
