Chemical Engineer for Development of Environmental Catalysts
Work Place: Lyngby, Denmark Would you like to develop catalytic technologies for air pollution control in a global environmental company? We offer a challenging position in R&D in our Environmental Process Department. We are 60 engineers and technicians working on development and optimization of heterogeneous catalysts and catalytic processes for the cleaning of exhaust gases from power plants, refineries, the chemical industry, and diesel vehicles. Our department works closely with Process Design, Production and Sales & Marketing. Haldor Topsøe is a significant player in the market for catalytic removal of NOx by selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by total oxidation. You will join a project group working on new improved catalysts and technologies that can meet present and future requirements for air pollution control in industry. Your responsibilities - Development of new catalytic particulate filters for air pollution control - Development and optimization of industrial design basis - Design, planning, and execution of laboratory and field tests - Analysis, evaluation, and presentation of results - Support Marketing & Sales for new products and applications. You - Like to take initiative - Are innovative and highly motivated - Possess excellent technical skills - Enjoy working in the laboratory and the related practical challenges - Have good communication skills and are able to interact with many different people. Qualifications You are a qualified chemical engineer (MSc or PhD) or equivalent with a strong background in process technology, chemical reaction engineering, and catalysis.
