Business Intelligence (BI) Developer
Role Description:
Reporting to the Business Planning Manager, Acting as a visualization/reporting experts able to transform data, gain insight and use that insight to dig deeper and then present a story.
Job responsibilities include:

Work with external client and internal departments to understand reporting/solution needs and identifying clear business and system requirements.

Design the best possible BI applications for internal and external stakeholders, based on information gathered and industry best practice and company core values.

Build and maintain reporting solutions using Microsoft BI technology stack (SQL Server 2016, Power BI and SSRS) and other application including Tableau.

Drive for continual improvement in all areas.

Analysing data and presenting key insights in support of decision making.

Promoting best practice across the company relating to processing, design and deployment of BI & Data Analytic applications.

Maintain proficiency in a variety of application and programing languages including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and SQL while keeping up to date with changes and new developments within the dynamic ETL and Business Intelligence community.

Work in fast-paced business and technical environment, to learn quickly, and quickly apply new found knowledge Complete adhoc work as required.
Competencies:

Proven background implementing Business Intelligence solutions with creativity and innovation.

Ability to demonstrate a knowledge of Business Intelligence methodology with practical examples of real work implementation.

Hands on technical skills including PowerBI, Sisense, GoodData and Tableau.

Hands-on experience with gathering business requirements, documenting the reporting and analysis specifications, and creating complex mappings and workflows.

Knowledge of emerging areas and new technologies relating to Business Intelligence in an enterprise environment.

Experience in using ETL tools.

Strong SQL and TSQL experience ability to write SQL statements over complex database structures; tuning, monitoring and optimization of SQL.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills with internal teams and outside consultants/contractors/suppliers.

Experience in SQL Server 2012 – 2016, SSRS, SSIS

Understanding of SQL Server Analysis Services / Reporting Services, SSAS, Tabular/Multi-Dimensional Models and DAX

Hands-on experience with gathering business requirements, documenting the reporting and analysis specifications, and creating complex mappings and workflows.

Highly organized can manage multiple projects, triage problems and prioritize tasks.

Ability to handle conflicts, multiple priorities, able to balance and can adapt to the situation at hand regardless of the complexity.

Effective communication skills and the ability to present information in one-on- one and small group situations to staff and other team members.
