Do you want to take the next step in your kitchen career while working just minutes from Oslo? Egon Lillestrøm is looking for a motivated and ambitious chef who wants to grow into a leadership role within one of Norway’s strongest and most established restaurant concepts.

About the role As Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will work closely with the Kitchen Manager and help ensure smooth daily kitchen operations, strong team performance, and consistent food quality. Together, you share the responsibility for the kitchen and its daily operations: Quality, routines, staff, and flow.

Key responsibilities
• Support and coordinate daily kitchen operations together with the Kitchen Manager
• Ensure high standards for food quality, presentation, and service efficiency
• Follow up HACCP / IK-Mat routines, hygiene standards, and food safety procedures
• Assist with ordering, stock control, cost follow-up, and waste reduction
• Contribute to staffing plans and shift coordination when needed
• Train, motivate, and follow up kitchen team members

• Participate actively in production, mise en place, deliveries, and à la carte service

 

Requisitos laborales

• Experience as a Sous Chef, Assistant Kitchen Manager, or a skilled chef ready for the next step.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and confident working with food safety and operational routines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining a positive attitude.
• A team player who enjoys developing both colleagues and yourself.
• Good communication skills in English. 

Requisitos deseables

Norwegian language skills is an adentage.
