We now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accommodation Manager to join our Accommodation team.
Key Responsibilities:
- To promote a helpful and professional image to the guest, and give full co-operation to any guest requiring assistance, with a prompt caring and helpful attitude.
- To anticipate guest needs in order to enhance quality service and in turn enhance guest satisfaction.
- To identify and empathise with all internal and external customers of the Hotel and Accommodation Services.
- To maintain regular and effective communication with your colleagues and attend as directed, briefings sessions with the manager.
- To carry out quality training and coaching in a systematic and professional way to meet the needs of the business. To assist the manager in the development of the team.
- To plan the labour resource effectively to meet the service criteria set for the department encompassing training, supervision and forecasting in line with the hotel business needs.
- To create an environment which promotes employee morale and encourages the team to have a pride in the area and a high level of commitment.
- To appraise all employees under your control at the intervals agreed with the manager, using the guidelines provided.
- To have a complete knowledge of the hotel and the product and services it offers.
- To control and seek to reduce operating costs of your department whilst maintaining standards set.
- To identify and report maintenance requirements and hazards in the work place and to chase, ensuring action has been taken.
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent people skills.
- Passion, energy, enthusiasm.
- A good understanding of hotel operation.
- Excellent communication skills with excellent spoken & written English.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Knowledge of Opera PMS essential.
- Flexibility is required in this position.
