We are now looking for the following professional Android Developer for a permanent position Polar Service Development Unit is looking for talented software engineers to join our Android mobile application development team at Kempele / Oulu, Finland. You will be part of software development team that has full end-to-end responsibility to develop and maintain great user experiences to our next generation Polar service products, such as Polar Flow and Polar Beat. As a scrum team member, your main objective is to ensure that you and your team will deliver top quality applications and user experiences to our customers worldwide. You have proven track record of working in modern SW development projects and you have personal passion to develop yourself as part of your daily developer routines. Your daily coding tasks will include all the traditional scrum team activities from code reviews to unit tests but we also appreciate proactive attitude being one of the team builders within the team. As Polar Service Development unit - we offer you a unique opportunity to be part of the team who provides smart coaching solutions to Polar customers from top-athletes and world-class teams to active fitness customers all over the world. You will be essential part of Polar ecosystem development and thus we offer you an excellent opportunity to develop yourself not only as Android coder but getting familiar with the latest system backend and device technologies. Close cooperation with Polar Research unit also offers you a unique opportunity to learn more about the data behind the activity numbers and thus makes your developer day much more extensive. We expect you to have: - Excellent Java programming skills - Android APIs and SDK - Continuous integration and unit testing experience - Test automation skills - Fluent use of supporting tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira. - Experience of modern agile software development practices - Pro-active, can-do attitude for daily task - Team player - Reference application is considered as an advantage - Good written and spoken English and Finnish The positions are located in Kempele/ Oulu, Finland.
