Job Description
This is a very dynamic position where guides will work on both of our Icebreakers (Sampo and Arktis), performing a variety of tasks. The position is seasonal, starting in November/December and ending in March/April, depending on the agreement.
Your duties include
- Providing guided Tours and useful information to our customers about the vessels, Arctic conditions, and life in Lapland
- Interacting with our customers to ensure every moment of the cruise is enjoyable
- Promoting sales both Onboard and onshore
- Assisting passengers during the ice-floating activity, which is physically demanding
- Assisting in cleaning the vessel after the cruise
- Organizing bus transfers between the harbor and the Snowcastle area
We expect from you
- Fluent English
- Good physical condition and a hard-working attitude
- A cheerful, positive character with excellent interpersonal skills
- A team player willing to help colleagues and create a positive work atmosphere
- Previous experience in Guiding and knowledge of Arctic Finland recommended
- EU Working permit
- Other language skills: Chinese, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, etc
- Good physical condition
- Teamwork spirit
- Adaptability to changing working conditions
