YOUR TEAM
You will become part of a self-organized agile team of skilled Platform Engineers and Developers with end-to-end responsibility for our shared component library and development platform.  You will join a team of 7 people located in Aarhus, Brande & Malaga, but working closely with all our development teams in BESTSELLER TECH. We have rapid decision processes, there is room for experimenting with new technologies - and we move fast from idea to execution.

YOUR ROLE
You will play a pivotal role in shaping our platform's future by focusing on developing and maintaining shared components and building high-performing Java applications.
As a System Engineer in our Shared Solutions team, you'll have the chance to:

  • Design, build, and optimize reusable software components and libraries to streamline development across BESTSELLER
  • Collaborate with other engineers and architects to define component specifications and integration strategies
  • Champion component reuse across the organization, promoting its benefits and providing technical support to other teams
  • Develop and optimize our platform and its components, ensuring smooth operation and support when needed
  • Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, constantly learning and exploring new possibilities within the field.

Job requirements

YOUR PROFILE

You are self-motivated, thrive independently and in teams, and you excel in problem-solving. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential. Your collaborative spirit, eagerness to learn, and passion for technology, combined with the following qualifications, will make you fit right in:

  • Strong expertise in Java development, object-oriented programming principles, and design patterns.
  • Worked with Spring Boot and GraalVM (is a plus) and optimized for running in a containerized environment.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
