Job offer description

At Jabra, we know that a device alone is not successful unless complemented by relevant value-adding software experiences.

Would you like to play an essential role in seeking out and defining software to integrate with our high-quality devices while working with some of the largest communication platforms in the world, setting the standard for the communication of the future?

Join us to make life sound better

Within Jabra Global R&D, you will step into the Strategic Alliances R&D team where we are 7 colleagues responsible for being the technical liaison to our largest, global partners such as Microsoft Teams, Amazon and Google. Our aim is to position Jabra products in close alignment with our partners and actively look for opportunities and ways to integrate Jabra even better – and essentially, make life sound better.

We want to make sure a device can deliver value across multiple systems and use cases. Whether used by private users or contact centers, we want our devices to be relevant with both cloud and on-premises solutions while using analytics data points from the device to add value to the use of the product,” explains Jesper Birk Jepsen, Manager, Strategic Alliances R&D.

Help define software innovation – and validate it with our largest partners

Based in our HQ in Ballerup, Denmark, you will be responsible for understanding and overseeing the full stack from device events and sensors and all the way through various technical layers, over cloud systems and servers to fulfill use cases on the other side. You will do so in close collaboration with your team and our software teams, also based in Ballerup. Essentially, your aim is to work in depth with our partners’ platforms and systems to see how we can create better integrations and figure out which innovative software we can contribute with across all Jabra products.

You will be covering all the larger cloud and systems providers of today such as AWS, Azure and the like. Moreover, you will work on use cases such as speech assistants (e.g. Alexa), IoT infrastructure, meeting rooms infrastructure (e.g. Microsoft, Zoom and Google) as well as contact center infrastructure (e.g. Amazon Connect, Genesys, Salesforce).

Technical conversations in your day-to-day work life will revolve around everything from low-level USB HID commands to the latest browser technologies and developer APIs as you:

  • Work with technical experts from our partners

  • Take part in internal technology programs with research staff, System Engineering, embedded and app developers as the essential stakeholders and input providers

  • Act as integration expert and sounding board to the greater Strategic Alliances team

  • Participate in internal software innovation projects where you have usually been part of scoping the case

  • Bring insight and partner technology back in-house for the right integration tools to be built

Deep understanding of software systems and cloud architecture

As a person, you enjoy engaging with people – both colleagues and as a Jabra representative with our partners – and you know when to have a technical discussion or consult use case-driven colleagues.

Moreover, you do the necessary research to define what we need to get done, and you are able to organize your work and priorities around this.

We also imagine that you:

  • Are technically strong within architecting of software and systems and cloud integration

  • Have a solid background in working with software where you have created simple solutions, APIs and eventually proven a specific case

  • Have some knowledge of our partners and the technologies in use

  • Have a full stack profile allowing you to use your programming experience to work with our many different tools and programming languages

  • Are able to code PoC solutions that show functionality and validate technical feasibility

  • Are fluent in English, and as our partners have a global footprint, you should be able to work with them across time zones
