For our Blades Module Department we are looking for a power curve expert, who is dedicated to the development of our future products. The Blades Department is responsible for wind turbine power and acoustic performance features as well as design, validation, certification and production implementation of new wind turbine blades. The open position is in the Acoustics and Power curves Team and the candidate for this position will play a key role in our work on optimization of turbine performance and validation of power curves. This involves R&D activities on validation of new products, development of new technologies such as Lidars and development of design and analysis tools.

What are my responsibilities?

· Analyze measurement data for reporting of power curves and wind characteristics · Analyze atmospheric inflow data (anemometers, LIDARs) including time series, turbulence and spectral analysis · Develop wind turbine power curve analysis methods · Model wind turbine aerodynamics as well as wind and atmospheric turbulence · Manage power curve validation campaigns and tool development projects · Manage technology development projects from idea generation until technology validation including development of design tools and test methods · Coordinate with Departments in Siemens Wind Power and external partners in relation to turbine validation projects

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· You have a technical engineering degree, M.Sc. with +5 years of professional experience wind energy or a closely related field · You have experience with wind power meteorology and atmospheric science · You have experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB. · You have knowledge of wind turbine aerodynamics and acoustics · You have an analytical mindset and a structured and detail-oriented approach to your work · You have a proactive mindset and the ability to maintain a good overview of your tasks · You are development oriented, open for change, outgoing and with strong communication skills · You possess excellent cross-functional and interdisciplinary skills In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
