Waste Management Engineer
We are strengthening our nuclear waste management team and we are hiring a Waste Management Engineer.As a Waste Management Engineer you will participate in overall planning of Fennovoima's waste management activities. You will also take part in supervision of the design of the nuclear waste management systems during the nuclear power plant project. You will work as part of a team in contact to the suppliers and authorities.
Your tasks include e.g.
- Preparing and reviewing documentation for the licensing in the area of radioactive waste management
- Reviewing the design of the radioactive waste management systems concerning solid, liquid and gaseous radioactive operational wastes
- Depending on your previous experience tasks may also include
- development of nuclear waste management strategy
- decommissioning planning
- development of post-closure safety case of the radioactive waste disposal facilities
The ideal candidate for this position has
- A university degree in engineering or natural sciences
- At least 1 year work experience in similar tasks
- Experience in Nordic NPPs is an advantage
- Knowledge of Finnish nuclear safety regulations is an advantage
- Fluent skills in English
