PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for risk management associated with client application requests for our electronic payment processing services.
  • Provide support to customers seeking to apply for our service
  • Review and process all applicable documentation in support of applications
  • Proactively work to enhance process/procedures to ensure Underwriting and AML/KYC regulations remain current, effective, and in-line with partner requirements.
  • To effectively manage a pipeline of cases within agreed Service Level Agreements, proactively requesting necessary documentation for missing information.
  • To ensure all cases are fully reviewed and an underwriting rationale is applied to each application prior to underwriting decision.
  • To ensure average turnaround expectations are exceeded by closely managing cases through to application process.
  • To provide accurate case updates to each stakeholder within agreed times and any actions taken are fully notated.
  • To ensure all cases are underwritten within agreed mandate levels.
  • Recommend and develop enhancements, sources, and resources to assist in the credit review process
  • Assist Fraud/Risk department on potential fraud/risk related matters
  • Perform underwriting analysis on prospective merchant applications within published SLA's
  • Take an active role within YapStone to identify and recommend for approval of process/policy changes to make the group more effective
  • Assist internal departments with customer inquiries requiring explanation of specific credit policies and decisions related to those policies

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in customer service and risk management; ecommerce experience is a plus
  • Direct experience with Global Payments and credit/risk/underwriting systems considered a plus
  • Experience creating and implementing process workflows considered a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational/analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a team-oriented individual with willingness to work with all levels of staff & customers (not exclusively high-level applicants) with a positive I would add professional here attitude and willingness to assist in training and development of new underwriters
  • Strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude
  • Preferred: third level qualification in business, finance or related field
