Primary Responsibilities

  • To operate and maintain the Palletiser to a high degree of plant efficiency and output.
  • To work in a safe manner with regard for own safety and the safety of all personnel.
  • To provide feedback on all aspects of work completed and works required to ensure maximum reliability and availability of manufacturing plant and equipment.
  • To complete scheduled corrective and preventative maintenance tasks as per plan.
  • To complete all works to a high degree of engineering quality and in accordance with all site safety and quality procedures.  

Main Tasks:

  • Start up of plant including all relevant pre-shift checks.
  • Shut down of plant including Strapper cleaning and yield input.
  • Carry out reactive work on plant as necessary. 
  • Fill in hourly downtime sheet.
  • Generate palletiser performance reports – daily/weekly and YTD rolling.
  • Delivery of Plant performance to agreed output target.
  • Point of contact with warehouse and PSM in the absence of the ESS Ltd.
  • Supports the ESS Ltd. Team Lead in coordinating, planning/scheduling and execution of overhauls and planned maintenance.
  • S.K.U. changes and changeovers.
  • Generate pallet plan for products.
  • Overhaul of spares.
  • Pro-actively manage consumables and spares.
  • Complete scheduled work. 
  • Carry out hourly checks including strap check, collaret application, presence of cap, coding checks and keg dress.
  • Update the maintenance management system (SAP), records of all works, changes, stores transactions made and create follow up jobs with all details of work required including spares specifications e.g part numbers.
  • Carry out RCA where applicable.
  • Complete the PM schedule and to a high standard.
  • Achieve the monthly Continuous Improvement Ideas target.
  • Participate in the RCPS sessions as appropriate and use the RAAC system to drive CI activity.
  • Work closely with on-site team to maintain a high level of plant hygiene.
  • Be flexible in availability to work extra hours, night shifts, sick cover and call in when required.
  • Experience / Qualification:
  • Electrical / Mechanical Qualification
  • Previous experience working within a high volume production environment
  • Proven fault-finding experience within a regulated environment - food/beverage.
  • Ability to work on own initative 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be available for shift ( early/late, nigths when required.)

Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
Must have very good English.
