We are searching for a Technical Writer for Service Technology to create work instructions for maintaining our wind turbines, globally. Furthermore the role will include HSE review of all work instructions created in the team. The team is responsible for internal communication and documentation that is used by our Service Technicians on site and comprises a mixture of administrative personnel and Service Technicians.

What are my responsibilities?

Create and update existing work instructions used by Service Technicians, globally Perform HSE review of work instructions created by other technical writers in the team For own work instructions ensure both HSE and technical reviews, and subsequent release in TeamCenter DMS Participate in trial fits and component exchanges on site both in Denmark and abroad in order to document the working process (expected 30 travel days per year) Responsible for planning the work process by creating method statements and risk assessments prior to visiting the turbine Ensure an increased HSE focus in the team by close cooperation with the global HSE organization

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Experience in writing and managing technical documentation is a key requirement. It’s of the utmost importance that you are used to working closely with field technicians and using their knowledge and experience onsite as the primary input when creating work instructions. A technical background (mechanical or electrical) with proven practical HSE experience. Ideally, you have previous work experience in the wind turbine industry, combined with practical HSE understanding and technical insight. Understand the importance of adhering to safe working practices whilst producing good quality and precise work instructions. The ability to give good and constructive feedback to colleagues as part of the HSE review Fluency in English (oral and written) and the ability to structure own work assignments and do frequent follow-ups In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
