We are looking for a TECHNICAL PURCHASER

EDR ANTWERP SHIPYARD is the largest shipyard in Belgium, specialized in ship maintenance and repair, hull

treatment and shipbuilding. More than 150 ships are repaired and maintained every year at our shipyard in Antwerp. Various

projects are also being carried out on board the ships around the world. EDR wishes to strengthen its team to support this

growing market position.

YOUR JOB

Together with your colleagues you are responsible for the purchasing process.

  • You are responsible for ordering products, services or raw materials for the warehouse, for our technical employees or for further sales directly to the customer.
  • You are also able to go to the ships and offer solutions.
  • For these purchase projects you work closely with other services within EDR to bring the ongoing projects to a successful conclusion and within the specified deadline.
  • You focus on total cost reduction and quality, logistics and efficiency improvements.



YOUR PROFILE

You have a Bachelors degree in Electromechanics or equivalent through at least 5 years of

experience as a technical purchaser

  • You have a strong affinity with technology.
  • You are strong in commercial, technical and contractual negotiations.
  • Excellent knowledge of English, other languages is a plus.
  • Obviously you are a team player and possess the necessary commercial flair
  • You can work smoothly and accurately with Office 365.
  • Experience in the maritime world is a plus.
