Supplier Quality Process Engineer - Main gear / Bearings (191332)
For the Global Supply Quality Nacelle department we are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Process Engineer (SQPE) for Main Gear and Bearings to ensure continuous focus on the suppliers manufacturing processes within our Procurement organization. The department has the overall responsibility for securing that suppliers meet Siemens Wind Power’s product requirements as well as corporate responsibilities. As a Supplier Quality Process Engineer you will qualify and monitor supplier processes and product realization in accordance with relevant requirements. In this position you will report to the Global Quality Manager of Nacelle.
What are my responsibilities?
· Participating in reviews within the PDP process for Main Gear and Bearings · Representing the technical Supplier Quality in cross functional meetings · Participating in R&D activities with regards to quality risk assessment for new design · Statistical processing control on specific process and product measures during manufacturing of critical components · Clarifying Siemens Wind Power’s process requirements to suppliers · Risk assessments of supply chain · Participating in supplier process audits and sub supplier process audits · Participating in supplier evaluation · Participating in visits of new potential suppliers · Reviewing of the suppliers manufacturing process plan (MPP) and quality activity plan (QAP) · Participating in First Article Inspection (FAI) and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) · Supporting in NCs and review of eventual, corrective and preventative actions, RCA & 8D reports or equivalent
What do I need to qualify for this job?
· You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent professional background, combined with minimum 5 years of professional experience from a similar position in an international company · You have good knowledge of QMS, quality assurance and control · You have experience in reading engineering drawings · You have firm knowledge about gear part manufacturing, bearing manufacturing, gearbox assembly, statistical methods for process control, quality control · You preferably have Auditing experience in ISO9001 and Lead Auditor examination · You are able to work independently and systematically, in a complex and fast changing environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously · You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and thrive in a multicultural environment · You possess excellent English and IT skills, including Excel and Power Point In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
