For our Global Procurement department we are looking for a Supplier Development Engineer with a broad engineering background. Our focus is to run efficient projects and reduce supplier costs to the benefit of both parties. You will help and support our suppliers on technical issues and assist our commodity teams in sourcing the most cost efficient technical solutions.

What are my responsibilities?

· Developing cost knowhow and cost models. · Designing and driving technical changes in the entire supply chain to improve our cost position. · Initiating and driving cost reduction projects with suppliers. · Helping and supporting suppliers with technical issues in order to reduce costs. · Assisting our commodity teams with technical knowhow

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· You have a broad engineering background. · You have experience with various production technologies and preferably with electronic assembly methods and systems. · You are open-minded and outgoing. · You are able to communicate and work with management as well as technical staff, both internally and externally. · You have excellent project management skills and intercultural skills. · You are willing to travel frequently. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
