Structural Lead Engineer for our engineering Team in Ikast

Do you want to play a role in making the future “greener”, and do you want to lead development projects by using your engineering skills?

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic structural Lead Engineer, to drive equipment development projects for the Wind Turbine industry. You will join our Engineering Team in ENABL A/S which is responsible for executing complex projects, for the largest Wind Turbine OEM’s. The team is based in Ikast/Denmark as well as Sofia/Bulgaria.

 

What are my responsibilities?

  • You will have responsibility for leading the structural and mechanical development in the projects. Having end-to-end technical responsibility for your own projects, as well as supporting your engineering colleagues in their work. You will be cooperating with a broad range of stakeholders, among others our customers, project managers and engineers in Denmark and Bulgari.
  • You will be a company ambassador, leading and guiding a project team through mechanical design, development, test and documentation
  • Developing innovative and cost-efficient designs for equipment for the next generations of wind turbines keeping up with their steady increase in size and weight
  • Technical guidance of project teams of varying size:
  • Keeping the overview of the full solution while breaking it down in reasonable packages for distribution to various internal and external engineers
  • Assuring coherent design & quality during design processes split out over multiple colleagues and locations
  • Driving and creating quotations for our Wind Turbine OEM costumers
  • Technical alignment with various stakeholders

 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

The applicant needs to have an engineering background and a master’s degree in engineering, preferable in the wind turbine area. Similar disciplines like ship building or the transport & lifting sector are also welcome. The candidate should be result oriented, structured and capable of keeping perspective in the busy daily work in a project-oriented organization. A high degree of autonomy is expected in terms of finding or developing the right solutions to deliver to agreed timelines.

 

Candidate overview:

  • Master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, marine, civil engineering or similar)
  • +3 years working experience in wind turbines, ship building, lifting and transport equipment or similar are required
  • Solid knowledge in structural calculations is required (analytical and FE)
  • Solid knowledge about rigging calculation for lifting, sea/road transport etc. are preferable
