Compliance Officer (Swedish Speaker) - Vilnius, Lithuania

We are looking for a passionate candidate to fill in our Compliance Officer position.

Here are the main responsibilities for the role:

  • Performing onsite and/or offsite AML/CTF/Anti-Fraud Compliance program reviews of prospect, new, and existing Agents of Western Union, and its affiliates.

  • You will need to provide support and training to Western Union Agents to implement an effective AML/CTF and anti-fraud Compliance program.

  • You will be evaluating controls both internally and with our agent partners through analysis and support them in delivering the compliance programs.

  • We will need you to escalate compliance-related risk matters diligently and in a timely manner.

  • You will assist your team in the overall development of AML programs, especially related to back-office tasks and initiatives.

  • You will be implementing policies and procedures and working closely with the global agent oversight and regional compliance teams who will help you achieve consistency.

 

For such a significant role, we require you to have:

  • Fluency in English and Swedish languages (oral and written).

  • A few years of experience within the AML or Compliance field.

  • In addition, we require you to have experience communicating with clients/customers (preferably face to face or by phone) and the ability to manage challenging situations.

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to understand laws and regulations related to AML/CTF and Anti-Fraud policies and procedures.

  • Traveling flexibility up to 40%, adjusted based on business needs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (oral and written).

  • Ability to work independently and have strong time management skills.

  • Proficiency with all common Office programs such as: MS Excel, Word, Outlook (but not limited to). Understanding of appropriate regional and global Money Services Business (MSB) regulatory requirements, the Bank Secrecy Act, and their effect on our business will make you stand out.

  • Driving license (preferably valid in the EU) will be an advantage.

The annual gross base salary range is 18,299 – 28,784 EUR. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the Western Union total compensation package, which includes short-term incentives, multiple health insurance options, accident and life insurance, and access to best-in-class development platforms, to name a few!
