Sous Chef
The Kloster Hornbach Hotel has been one of Germany’s top ten conference hotels ever since its opening in the year 2000. National and international gourmet guides have attested to the quality of our gourmet restaurant “Refugium” including 15 Gault Millau points or seven out of ten marks in Gusto.
We welcome our guests in the unique historic setting of a former monastery. But our most important asset is our team. Driven by a mission to offer our guests a most pleasant and memorable experience, we are looking for a Sous Chef to support our kitchen team.
Do you have prior experience in such a position or want to tackle this challenge as the next step in your career?
As part of our team, you work closely together with our Chef. Your prime responsibilities include the organization and coordination of the kitchen team including our apprentices, order management and inspection of goods received, preparation of menus for daily specials, dinners and buffets as well as the menu design for all restaurants. You enable the team to comply with HACCP regulations at all times, and you subscribe to a leadership style that promotes collaboration and cooperation.
Beyond your professional skills, you are accustomed to work hard, show initiative, demonstrate flexibility and uphold high standards of quality. Your conduct towards colleagues and guests is always exemplary.
