Quickspin is an award-winning game studio, producing online video slot machines for the gambling and social gaming audience. We are now looking for a creative sound designer with excellent technical skills to join our team in Stockholm.

About the role

As our Sound Designer you will team with the Audio Director and take part in the production process from the beginning to the very end. The role is creative and lets you produce ideas, find references, compose music, and communicate style and feeling through quick concepts.

At Quickspin, you will produce music and sounds at a professional level that will truly enhance the gaming experience

Our games have a large variation of themes which will enable you to produce music and sounds in different styles. At the same time, you will have alternating focus by working on each game for only a few months.

We work in a studio, where the route from idea to implementation is very short. You will work in a casual and fun atmosphere, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference.

Job requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience creating music and sound for games (slot games/mobile games/game industry or music industry)
  • Fluent in industry-standard software, plugins and DAWs such as Cubase, Nuendo and/or Logic Pro
  • Strong knowledge of audio recording practices (EQ, Compression etc.)
  • Excellent understanding of game audio production
  • Excellent aesthetic and understanding of multiple genres, and styles of music
  • Excellent understanding of sound effect creation, layering and processing techniques
  • A 'can do' attitude
  • Strong organizational skills, documentation, verbal communication and accurate time estimation skills
Nice to have
  • Previous experience within iGaming or Casino industry
  • Guitar: professional or semi-professional level
  • Microphone techniques / recording experience
  • Scripting/Programming experience
