Software Engineer

CVO Recruitment's client is a global telecommunication application software company.

Job purpose

This position needs broad and deep understanding of current web technologies to focus on building highly scalable web services for preventing fraud while accepting a high percentage of payments. The job holder must actively communicate with stakeholders / engineering groups to come up with best solutions for the tools.

Key responsibilities

• Full software lifecycle. Understanding business and technical requirements, creating technical architecture, programming, documenting, testing, releasing, troubleshooting, fixing bugs, monitoring and addressing issues in production.
• Working together with colleagues on code reviews, internal infrastructure improvements, integrating with test automation systems and process improvements.
• Ensuring the product meets or exceeds the expectations of hundreds of millions of customers by efficiently performing a range of testing/validation activities including (but not limited to) unit testing, integration testing.
• Exploring and prototyping new technical solutions, improving internal processes.

Required knowledge and experience

• 3+ years of experience building web applications using PHP.
• 2+ years of experience with databases (PostgreSQL is a plus).
• Some experience with Python scripting.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
