Tuxera is looking for an exceptional Software Development Engineer - Media Streaming (Embedded) who has the passion for solving challenging tasks in cutting-edge networking technologies. The candidate will participate in the design and implementation of robust and high-performance products utilized by top brands around the globe. Candidate should possess genuine enthusiasm for results and a will to achieve them both independently and as a team member. Responsibilities: - Design and development of software products utilizing the latest networking technologies. - Analyzing performance bottlenecks, finding and implementing improvements. - Debugging interoperability and reliability issues. - Providing technical support for new and existing products. - Writing documentation for the new products and solutions. - Testing and verification of the new products and solutions. - Working together with team members following Agile methodologies. Required Experience: - Expert in C/C++. - Expert in Linux development - Experience in developing for embedded and resource constrained platforms. - Deep understanding of networking protocols especially device discovery protocols. - Very good understanding of transport layer protocols such as TCP and UDP. - Experience in working with UPnP, WebSockets, RTP and SOAP. Preferred Experience: - Familiarity with DLNA, DIAL, RTP, RTSP, XML. - Familiarity with media streaming protocols such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, HDS and Smooth Streaming protocol. - Experience in multicast protocols and multicast based DNS service. - Familiar with Linux kernel development and networking layers. - Shell scripting Writing portable software, knowledge of several operating systems Familiarity with Network security and DRM techniques.
