Does being in charge of Service Wind Powers Jack Up operations offshore sound interesting to you? Siemens Wind Power’s service business is growing and we are intensifying our off shore activities Therefore, we are looking for a Site Manager for our Jack Up Operations department. This position entails an extensive operational responsibility and the opportunity to join in the decision-making regarding the future scope of Jack-Up Operations.

What are my responsibilities?

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the operations offshore. I.e. Act as functional team lead for 17-18 technicians and planning their daily tasks in collaboration with the site coordinator. Be responsible for project and task execution on board the vessel and ensure efficient handling of the day-to-day operation issues on board. Plan activities/movements of the technicians, CTVs and Jack Ups on board the vessel with the site coordinator, the back office, the local site manager and the customer. Be the one point of contact for the Jack Up Operations back office, the management, regional project managers, clients and the local site manager at the site office ashore. Furthermore acting as the Jack Ops offshore representative in the incident response team. Facilitate daily conference calls and conduct daily reports and logs. Check Completed Turbine Paperwork and assist with the preparation of HSE documentation for upcoming projects. This position implies a 2 weeks rotational shift (two weeks aboard the vessel / two weeks off)

What do I need to qualify for this job?

You have a degree in engineering or marine engineering and 3-5 years of experience as a site manager in charge of complex, large-scaled projects. You are stress resistant and able to make decisions, take the lead and manage a team in a highly dynamic environment, characterized by a low degree of predictability and many unknowns. Is a furthermore of vital importance that you are able to interact and communicate with people of different cultures and organizational levels. You must be able to integrate and unite a group of many different technicians, negotiate and act convincing in order to get the group to follow your lead. Your posses excellent English skills – orally as well as in writing. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
