Job Description
Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls (RAC), R&D and Engineering is looking for Senior Technology Engineer to strengthen our team in Nordborg or Kolding. Through strong, cross functional teamwork in an agile environment, we create innovative solutions, which drive our technology projects for market readiness and concept approval. You will be responsible for the electronic and mechanical design and development of the products of tomorrows cooling systems. Conception, selection and dimensioning of systems and products will be one of your core tasks as you need to contribute to the technology and innovation road maps for Cooling. Therefore, frequent and flexible interaction with customers and key stakeholders will be essential to verify products and concepts.
Job Responsibilities
Your primary task will be to validate ideas and concepts by using design tools as FMEAs and risk management. Other tasks will be:
- Design to cost and manufacturing with strong commercial focus
- Use simulation and calculation tools for design improvements
- Present and drive your ideas through the organization
- Document design approvals and validations
- Evaluate concepts, simulations and test results to incorporate them into system and product optimizations
- Develop products with focus on quality, cost and time with the necessary tools
The position reports to the Director, Technology Center in RAC and you can expect approximately 10-20 days of travel per year, primarily to customers and suppliers.
Background & Skills
You need to have a Bachelor and/or Master in Mechanical/Mechatronics or a similar education combined with a technical background, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills. Furthermore you have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Advanced Engineering, Innovation and/or Technology
- A demonstrated track record of Technology to Market and business
- Practical experience with Technology Scouting, Innovation, Development, verification and validation of Mechanical and Electronic product solutions and systems
- A strong interest in working with universities and partners in order to boost the future technology in Danfoss
- Fluent and comprehensive English skills is also a must
