We are recruiting for a Senior Planner to join our Supply Chain Team, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager. Further details below.
1. Purpose of the position
- Ensure effective lines of communications are in place between stake holders in the planning process – Procurement, Production ,the rest of the business and customer where appropriate.
- Daily Primal Ordering 7 Stock Management
- Proactively engage the Supply Chain Manager with ideas for personal and team development.
2. Responsibilities/Authorities
- Manage all Production Planning/ Capacity Planning
- Manage Retail Logistics (Depot Booking Slots)
- Retail Stock Management (Fresh and Provisions)
- Primal Requirement Management (Fresh Allocations and Provision Primal Plans, including Blast Freezer Plan)
- Primal Stock Management
- Data Analysis and Reporting (DOT, Service Level, Daily Summary Report, KPI’s, Overs Report)
- System/ Process/ Product Set-Up where applicable
3. Professional skills (Required education and work experience)
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with FMCG environment
- Planning Experience ( preferable in meat Processing , but not essential)
- Data Analysis Experience and an affinity with Systems Usage
4. Personal skills/competencies
- Advanced Excel skills essential
- Data Analytic approach
- Strong communication skills with the ability to plan strategically across production & other departments
- Capability to Prioritise
- Strong Drive & decision Maker
5. Continuous Improvement
- Ensure the culture of continuous improvement is maintained and developed throughout the factory
- Support the company’s risk management strategy
6. Health & Safety:
- Be familiar with and confirm to the company’s Health and Safety Program
- Comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and observe all safety rules
- Do not endanger yourself or others by your actions or omissions
- Use appropriate protective clothing, safety equipment and safety devices at all times
- Report all accidents/injuries and near misses immediately
- Follow all instructions given by any person with a responsibility for health and safety
- Keep your place of work in a clean and tidy condition at all times
- Report all hazards / non-conformances / substandard conditions as observed and make representations for improvements to the safety representative
