About this opportunity

Welcome to the IAM Identity Direcctory Engineering team. We add value by developing the security and compliance in the IAM area. As Senior IT security specialist in IAM, you’ll play a valuable role in continue to strengthen the IAM area in Nordea to protect the bank and our customers.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Senior IT security specialidst with focus on mainframe and RACF you will be required to have a strong security mindset and be a mainframe technical security expert, on all security design and implementation matters. The IT security specialist must maintain a current understanding of the architecture and design of the security capabilities of all systems software and applications on the mainframe, as well as understanding all internal and peripheral devices connecting to the mainframe hardware.

The IT security specialist is also required to maintain a current understanding of the latest security threats and trends, Nordea’s security policy and standards, industry standards and regulatory requirements.

This is a role that requires the individual to direct and prioritise change initiatives, to ensure Nordea’s mainframe environments maintain a strong security posture.

You’ll join a highly experieced and motivated team of IAM engineers with strong security focus. The role is based in either Sweden or Denmark.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

  • Detailed technical experience with operating systems, including z/OS and z/VM. This must include in-depth skills and knowledge of security features in the operating system, major subsystems and security system (RACF).

  • Highly experienced in testing controls, including penetration testing and ethical hacking – must be able to risk assess and articulate control deficiencies to stakeholders in a manner whereby the risk(s) to the business are understood.

  • Security Management in Distributed environments is desirable (not essential) since the Security Engineer will interface with other non-mainframe Security Engineers to ensure end-to-end security.

  • Strong security mindset with focus on building a secure mainframe environment

Your experience and background:  

  • Long experience in mainframe with focus on RACF
