Your Responsibilities:

The initial assignment will be in one of the running R&D projects in the company and consists of a coached on the job training. The work will range from developing specifications, proposing hardware/software solutions, using and extending Altreonic's products as well as hands-on development of customer specific solutions. You will work as a team member using techniques of lean and agile project management. Your responsibilities and position in the team will depend on your results achieved and contribution to the company's goals. You work in an ethical and communicating manner that aims at detecting and correcting issues at an early stage while keeping in mind the longer term.

Your Profile: 

  • Academic level (minimum is MSc or equivalent by experience).
  • System thinker with sound electronic, communications or computer science engineering background.
  • 5 years proven experience in solving embedded systems challenges.
  • Creative and lateral thinker, interested in innovation as well as in practical results.
  • Team player who can function in a multicultural environment. 
  • Good social and communication skills.
  • Self propelled, with a proactive attitude and own initiative. 
  • Fast learner of novel concepts and techniques.
  • Customer and business focused. 

Your preferred skills: 

  • Proficient in written as well as spoken technical English.
  • Embedded real-time programming in ANSI-C, C++.
  • Experience with concurrent and protocol based programming.
  • Experience with developing client-server applications.
  • Programming in higher level languages (e.g. Haskell, Phyton, ...).
  • Use of formal techniques.
  • Developing hardware at schematic block level.
  • Debugging hardware designs and developing firmware.
