We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to own both the deployment and automation parts of our platform as well as maintain and build tooling to enable our engineers to work efficiently. 

Knowledge and experience with modern automation tools and best practices within the field will be critical as we are building a highly scalable product with a growing team of engineers. GAN is a high-growth organisation building for scale and for us automation and great tooling is a natural part of that. You will help ensure that all systems and networks are secure and follow best practices within Security DevOps mitigating threats and monitoring behaviour and performance. 



What you’ll do

As our new DevOps Engineer, you will be working in a team of highly-skilled and dedicated people to deliver solutions and services to our enterprise customers. More specifically, your tasks will include:

  • Lead and drive hands-on implementation of our DevOps practices  
  • Partner with engineering teams to automate and optimize service availability, scalability, performance, monitoring and alerting
  • Maintain and develop tools to support the products and automate our development processes
  • Follow and extend good practices of infrastructure as a code
  • Measure, monitor and optimize system performance
  • Plan capacity and manage tasks and projects within the team
  • Ensure that security is a natural part of automation and deployment pipeline
  • Explore and evaluate new technologies and solutions to push capabilities forward
  • Develop and maintain methodologies of iteratively deploying our cloud-based architecture
  • Document processes and practices you establish

 

What we’re looking for

Someone passionate about DevOps and fueled by the process of optimizing software delivery, that can set the lead the way and set the technical path for our Infrastructure needs. More specifically, you have at least:

  • Great insights into DevOps best practices  
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and networking, incl. containers and orchestration
  • Deep understanding of configuration management, infrastructure as code and automation tools
  • Experience in implementing infrastructure, application level monitoring and alerting
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes
  • MS/B in Computer Science or applicable certification preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Important tools in our DevOps stack currently include: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Elastic, GitLab plus a few more.
