In a newly established team, you will get to influence how we work with data science as you generate insights that are actively put to use. Establish data science as a discipline You join the new Data Analytics team within Global Insights that are responsible for all market research and insights generation within the LEGO Group. The team is to develop and analyse big data to deliver insights, enabling us to personalise consumer experiences and drive deeper brand engagement. To do so, you help in building up our capabilities but you also collaborate across the organisation with other big data specialists. We are at the start of something new, and your responsibilities are expected to develop as we go along, but to begin with you: Establish data science as a discipline within Global Insights and in the LEGO Group as a whole Deliver modelling algorithms for the My LEGO® Project, where your skills help us in delivering recommendations to our followers on digital channels Add to our global insights agenda by developing data visualization, data mining and advanced analytics to extend our current insights generation Deliver ad-hoc analytics to internal stakeholders in the wider organisation and service other analytics initiatives within Product and Marketing Development Join our supportive, collaborative network At the LEGO Group, insights are extremely valued and our focus on big data is rapidly increasing. Thus, you will get to combine data science with business analysis and follow the rest of the team in communicating this to make an impact. Experience with statistical modelling, data extraction and modelling To succeed in this position, you need to hit the ground running. Also, you need to provide a structured and analytical approach to your tasks and triumph through your truly collaborative nature and your willingness to be part of a team that delivers together. You are able to engage technical as well as non-technical colleagues, and you: Hold a degree in Math/Statistics. Alternatively you have substantial practical experience or a degree in Engineering or Business Administration with a significant focus on statistics and modelling. Have 3-5 years of experience with statistical modelling, data extraction and manipulation, data visualisation and knowledge of at least one advanced analytics tool/platform, preferably SPSS or R Have a proven track record of understanding business analyses and supporting them, just as you know how to translate analytics into insights for stakeholders Need to be able to travel to both internal projects and external conferences, especially within Europe, for a limited amount of time Speak and write English fluently Join the global LEGO® Family In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you can use your creativity and enjoy a fun working environment across the LEGO Community.
