Would you like to join our dedicated teams of international colleagues and work with some of the world's largest offshore wind projects? Join us and become Senior Construction Project Manager in our Construction Management Department which is responsible for realising our 2020 strategy and HSE goals. You will help execute our offshore wind projects, being overall responsible for managing, planning and coordinating the affected site, including construction, logistic and commissioning activities. The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of five business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at one of our Danish offices in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the greater Copenhagen area or alternatively in our London office based in the UK on local terms and conditions. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work and during the construction phase of the project, you will be based locally and work from the construction site. Initially, you will be working on one of our UK offshore wind projects, and once the project is finished, you will be re-assigned to another project and site. Areas of responsibility As Senior Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing, planning and coordinating the onshore and offshore sites, including construction, logistic and commissioning activities, including delivery of complete O&M facilities (physical assets) ready for operation. You will be overall responsible for health and safety for all activities onshore and offshore related to O&M Facilities and preassembly areas, including establishment of a safety culture amongst all involved parties. In the project, you report directly to the EPC Director. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •ensure implementation, enforcement and maintenance of a high safety awareness culture among all stakeholders •enhance HSE in planning and execution of scope amongst all involved parties •manage project time, cost budgets, quality, risks, interfaces, stakeholders and documentation as well as other PMI competence areas •ensure proactive management, good cooperation, communication and securing of interfaces within Site & Commissioning (S&C) activities •in cooperation with contract manager(s) negotiate contracts and procurement according to respective Procurement Strategy, process and Policy •act as point of contact to local authorities, local communities and stakeholders. Your profile You have bachelor’s or a master’s degree in engineering or another relevant education combined with high level management experience from major projects from the wind industry, the oil and gas industry or similar industries. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you have strong communication skills, and that you speak and write English fluently. Moreover, you are able to cooperate effectively and efficiently across professional disciplines, and you can create results through teamwork as well as work independently. You have a proactive, result-orientated approach and are prepared to work intensely during busy periods.
