What you’ll do:

Eaton designs & manufactures 3-phase UPS devices and battery energy storage solutions for the EMEA market at our facility in Espoo. We will move our production facilities and campus to Tuupakka, Vantaa in October 2023.

In addition to traditional UPSs we develop energy storage and hybrid UPS solutions. The future trend for UPSs is to be a part of the grid and support usage of renewable energy.

 

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our R&D organization as a Senior Battery Integrations Engineer. This role will be responsible for developing & testing lithium batteries and systems for Eaton UPS delivery projects.

 

Main responsibilities:

- Defines the battery systems to be used as a part of Eaton UPS customer delivery projects

- Designs DC distribution concepts & systems for delivery projects

- Documents the communication interface between UPS & battery systems

- Participates in battery test setup building, including live work with < 1500 Vdc systems

- Tests the integration of batteries & UPS products, including communication interfaces

- Collaborates actively with design and application engineering teams in battery related questions

- Acts ethically and according to Eaton Values and Philosophy following the company rules and policies

Qualifications:

- MSc / BSc in Electrical Engineering

- Few years of experience with low voltage DC systems (120 - 1500 Vdc)

Skills:

- Experience with energy storage devices and communication protocols (e.g. Modbus) preferred

- Experience working in cross-functional development teams, strong communication skills.
