Senior Backend Engineer - R&D · Copenhagen

As our new Senior Backend Engineer, you will be leading the way and setting the technical path for our future needs. You’re a great developer with excellent people skills and you are passionate about building great software for scale. Automated testing, clean code, and sharing best practices are some of the tools you use to achieve it. You are ready to take on the challenge of a leading role in a growing engineering team. 

In this role, you will be:

• Designing and planning architecture to build stable and scalable software.
• Developing high-level system design and low-level technical design.
• Contributing to product discovery in the team to identify feasible, high-impact solutions to the team objectives.
• Helping to prioritize engineering projects against business targets and evaluate what can be executed with the available resources.
• Developing backend application code for our platform and products.
• Working with DevOps team members to ensure continued stability and performance.
• Coaching and mentoring the developers in your team.
• Initiating, implementing, and developing creative and innovative engineering processes and practices.
• Exploring and evaluating new technologies and solutions to push capabilities forward.
• Developing and maintaining methodologies of iteratively deploying our cloud-based solutions.
• Documenting processes and practices you establish.

Requirements

• Javascript experience, 3+ years
• A degree in Computer Science or similar
• Deep understanding of the full stack of technologies used in a web application
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• You

It is an advantage if you have:

• Good understanding of DevOps, QA, and test automation.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, and orchestration.
• Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, Elastic, GitLab, and a range of AWS services
