Your position
In your new position as Team Lead, you will be responsible for a team comprised of specialized and experienced employees working with all aspects of high voltage equipment for an offshore substation. With reference to the Head of High Voltage, you will be an integral part of the HV area unit’s management team within the Renewables Engineering organization. You will be expected to form strong working relationships with e.g., tender, project management, product line and other technical departments.
Your tasks & responsibilities
As a Team Lead, you, in collaboration with the Head of Department, are responsible for developing the team's competencies, skills, and execution in alignment with the current and future requirements of the Renewables division. This means to set a clear overall direction, prioritization of resources, driving coherency in technical solutions across the portfolio, developing processes/guidelines, and developing a strong, professional team spirit based on technical competences within your own technical area.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Leading and managing the team, including training, motivating and coaching employees.
- Supporting recruitment activities.
- Responsibility for performance/quality on entire portfolio within own technical discipline area (tender, projects).
- Ensuring coherency as widely as possible in technical solutions across the portfolio.
- Coordinating and prioritizing projects activities and tasks - delegating and following up within the team.
- Own Lessons Learned within own area and secure anchoring/implementation in team.

Your place of work could either be at our Head office in Esbjerg or at one of our offices in Ballerup in the greater Copenhagen area, Aalborg in the northern part of Denmark, Hamburg in Germany, or Gdynia in Poland. The position is full-time and will involve limited travelling primarily to other Semco Maritime offices, supplier visits etc.

Your profile
As a person, you have a high degree of self-motivation with a flexible approach to work. You possess good interpersonal skills and work well with other people. You are result-oriented, and you organize and prioritize your work effectively meeting required deadlines.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering with, preferably, experience in high voltage electrical power systems or similar, giving you excellent analytical skills and a broad business knowledge.
- 5+ years of relevant experience with protection, transformers, GIS, cables and experience with offshore and/or onshore substations.
- Ideally, 3 - 5 years’ experience in leading people and/or project teams.
- a high degree of personal integrity, an ability to work in changing environments and on multiple projects simultaneously, inspiring people while respecting their work-life balance.
- Fluency in English, verbal and written.
- In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways, your application is just as well appreciated.
