Your position 

As our new Layout/Interface Engineer you will become a part of our Renewables Division where we are the world’s leading provider of offshore substations, which you will take part in the creation of.

By connecting every turbine in the wind farm to the onshore grid, our offshore substations play an essential part in powering homes with sustainable electricity. We take our responsibility seriously and you will help us provide high-reliability solutions on time and in the right quality.

Your tasks & responsibilities 

You will be part of the value chain, interfacing with multiple disciplines and working on technical solutions ranging from project development to supporting design and development execution throughout all phases of the projects. 

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the overall project engineering scope for 3D-modelling and layout of offshore substations, such as equipment spacing, supports, cable tray-, pipe- and duct routing
  • Multidiscipline coordination of interfaces between disciplines and client clarifications
  • 3D reviews and coordinating input from different stakeholders
  • Close daily cooperation with our technical designer and structural partners
  • Involvement in our product line and tender phase where we develop and configure new solutions and bid on new projects

Your profile & qualifications 

As a person it is very important that you have the motivation to find solutions for complex challenges, no matter what it takes. Furthermore, it is also essential that you are as passionate about working with sustainable energy as we are!

To succeed in this position, we expect that you have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, marine engineering or similar
  • Experience in working with 3D as a tool in projects. Designing in 3D is not a part of this position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Prior experience from working with offshore platforms or substations is preferred but not essential
